Kindred Skin was founded by a mother and son who share a simple belief: skincare should feel as honest and nurturing as the hands that make it.

Having both struggled with sensitive, acne-prone skin, they knew the frustration of products that promised nourishment but instead caused irritation, heaviness, or clogged pores. After trying countless formulas, they found themselves returning to the idea that the most effective skincare is often made with ingredients the skin can recognize and use naturally.

That curiosity led them to grass-fed beef tallow, a time-honored moisturizer rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K and structurally similar to human sebum. Intrigued by its natural compatibility with skin, they began experimenting in their kitchen, blending it with thoughtfully chosen ingredients to refine the texture, absorption, and feel.

What emerged was a whipped formula designed to nourish deeply while feeling light, smooth, and easy to use day or night. When friends and family began asking for jars of their own, a personal pursuit became a shared ritual, and eventually, a brand.

Today, each Kindred Skin product is handcrafted in small batches with thoughtfully sourced ingredients and a simple philosophy: use only what skin truly needs. The name Kindred reflects more than family. It speaks to a deeper connection between people, nature, and the rituals that bring us back to ourselves.
